Why did I create RisMe?
We live in an era where we can contact anyone, anytime.
LINE, social media, email, and phone calls.
The means of communication continue to increase, making it easier than ever to connect with people.
But have people really grown closer to one another?
It's not worth making a phone call over.
But it can't be conveyed through text alone.
There are surprisingly many such moments.
"good work"
"Be careful on your way home."
"good night"
Even just one word can convey a different kind of emotion depending on whether it's written or spoken.
We created RisMe to deliver that small warmth.
RisMe is an app for sending and receiving micro-voice messages up to 10 seconds long.
You don't need to make a long phone call.
You don't need to write a long message.
Just 10 seconds.
You can send your voice to someone important to you.
We are also developing features that support human connections, such as "Kokuban," which allows you to collect and send messages from family, friends, and colleagues, and "Smart SOS," which notifies loved ones of any abnormalities in case of an emergency.
The vision of Connect GLOBAL Hearts
We operate under the philosophy of Connect GLOBAL Hearts.
The internet once held great promise, with the expectation that it would "connect the world and eliminate borders."
However, in reality, the world is far more divided and complex.
Conflict between nations.
Widening economic inequality.
Information inequality.
Information pollution.
And in some countries, we've entered an era where the network itself is fragmented.
We are currently living in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) era.
Information is abundant, yet genuine voices are difficult to hear.
Even though it should be easy for people to connect with each other, it feels like understanding one another has become more difficult than before.
However, we believe that people are inherently capable of understanding each other much better.
If we can understand each other's joys and pains,
Not a threat,
Not a competitor,
We should be able to face each other as supportive colleagues.
Therefore, we are not just an information network,
"A network where hearts connect"
We want to build this using the power of technology.
The emotions and thoughts of people all over the world are connected.
A society where we can share both joy and pain.
It's like a healthy body where blood flows to every capillary, creating a warm sense of connection throughout the world.
As a tiny drop in that bloodstream, we begin by connecting the voices of those who care about each other.
RisMe is the first step.
A small voice can lead to great understanding.
Through technologies that connect people's hearts, we will contribute to coexistence and growth that transcends national borders.
